Smith & Company was selected to provide architectural services as part of the Stafford Municipal School District 2019 Bond Projects.
Scope of work included a community center renovation which was an existing administration building constructed in 1982. The building was remodeled and re-purposed to provide social spaces for the community to meet, exercise, and learn, as well as incorporating a historical display of the legacy of the City of Stafford.
The existing 8,115 sq. ft. building was originally built in 1982 and added onto in 1995. The building was a steel structure with CMU exterior walls. The building also contained large storefront windows on the north and south facing facades.
The new community center was renovated and re-purposed to serve the community as a volunteer and community center.
