Smith & Company was selected to provide architectural services for the renovations to four open-concept campuses as part of Austin ISD's 2022 Bond Projects. Odom Elementary School was the first bond project to be completed as part of this Bond.
A Campus Architectural Team, composed of campus staff, parents and community members, has worked with the district and project team to determine design details to best meet the needs of Odom’s students, staff and community.
Odom Elementary School received upgrades to its open-concept floor plan, adding full walls and doors between learning areas, improving overall safety and the student experience, a secure entry vestibule, care center, and heating and air conditioning improvements. Additionally, the campus is receiving improved spaces to support a school mental health center and a community pantry.
