Ella J. Baker Montessori K-8 Addition

The Baker Montessori K–8 project for Houston ISD combines renovations to the existing building with a new three‑story, 57,479‑square‑foot addition shaped by Montessori principles and district educational specifications. The phased work introduced shared first‑floor spaces, specialized second‑floor labs, and dedicated third‑floor classrooms, with learning commons overlooking the SPARK Park. The project achieved LEED Certified status, incorporating recycled materials and doubling the amount of dedicated open space.
