Smith & Company Architects (S&C) in association with TCB Transit is providing space programming and design services for an SIS/MOW Facility for the New University LRV Line. Scheduled for completion in 2012, the goal of this project is to build a light rail maintenance facility to maintain and store light rail vehicles. The project site is to be determined.

With this new facility, Metro will have an opportunity to display the “brand” or make an image statement. The building will support the efforts of the staff and operators, as well as acknowledge and help facilitate the city wide goals of Metro. The translation of image into the SIS/MOW Facility will focus on the facility to be: secure, functional, controlled access, effective, well lit, operational, efficient, and meet privacy needs. Currently, the building is predicted to be over 100,000 S.F.
